Can't view links without registering or logging in?

Can't view links without registering or being logged in? . Is that something new?...i hadn't noticed it...

i could understand  perhaps video links taking up bandwidth..but not a simple url link..

  I would think the seamless sharing of information to anyone would be the goal. Is there a good reason behind this change?

Hello,

We are experimenting with different forum settings for a number of reasons e.g. use of forum resources, privacy, encouraging guests to register and hopefully participate..etc.

This doesn't stop members seeing the links so information is available..

i think its shortsighted...and will hurt the forum in the long run
