Cannot send/reply to mesages - new member

hello,

thanks for reading. and great forum.

i have 1 issue however. i have only posted twice, but received a message off a user but am not allowed to reply as my post count is less than 5. i understand why you cannot send a message as soon as you sign up and rules have to be in place to maintain a boards confidentiality , but if you receive a message from another user i think you should be able to reply, regardless of post counts. i don't want to spam the board until i have 5 posts just to reply to 1 message. maybe you think im being un-reasonable, especially as after this post i will have 3 posts.... yay only 2 more to go, lol.

We have had and still do have lots of issues with spammers, so I am afraid we take precautions, we do appreciate this is slightly frustrating but a necessary evil..
