Chat room & more
« on: May 13, 2004, 06:23:52 PM »
Is it possible to do something about the listing at the bottom of the help forum lists.  It keeps saying people are in the chat room when they are not!
Also is it not possible to arrange certain times that people can meet and greet, it seems most people spend their time going in and out of the chat room to see if anybodys there.
Also another quick idea how about putting something beside peoples names to say whether they suffer from P or PA or are a carer of a sufferer.
Other than that the site is just great a bit difficult at first to get the hang of but after a while its plain sailing.

One last thing how does the newbie, junior member etc work I don't seem to be able to find any details about it.

Anyway i have had my moan now, keep up the good work.

I have never seen anyone in the chat rooms... which is a shame.

This depends on how the user logs out, sorry there is nothing I can do about this...

  • Also is it not possible to arrange certain times that people can meet and greet, it seems most people spend their time going in and out of the chat room to see if anybodys there.

We have tried this is in the past but it didn't work too well, people just come and go whenever they want..

If someone wants to arrange a chat time then use the Announcements, Meetings, News & Events  board and also put a note on the Chit Chat Board, then ask one of the mods to sticky it for a while..

  • Also another quick idea how about putting something beside peoples names to say whether they suffer from P or PA or are a carer of a sufferer.

Not possible on the main board as far as  I am aware but you can add it to your biography in your profile...

I have worked it out nobody is sober on this site!

I do not drink anymore, well not since all the tablets, I used to a bottle of Jack Daniels or Archers on the rocks, those were the times.  Does this mean I am getting old?

Nice replys only please!!!!!!!!

Uhm... afraid so.  I think it is the post-30 phase.

I NEVER ever used to get hangovers... until I got 'old'.

Now, I prefer J20!

Long gone are the days of Southern Comfort, Archers & Lemonde in the same glass.

Also long gone are the 4 day short breaks with my friend... getting smashed every single night beyond belief and not being sober at all in the entire 4 days...  :-/

Mind you... I still do enjoy the odd G&T..  ;D
