just to let you know , tonight there was 4 of us in the chatroom but when i exited  it only showed 1 of the users as being in the room :-/.

just thought id say cos if its only showing 1 user some people may be put off going in.

I have the same too..... :o

Even on the homepage, the people in the top bar, are not necessarily the same as on the bottom of the page  ::) , and it doesn't  mean they're online, if you click on their profile to doublecheck, some of them are noted as off-line  :o

Weird  ;D ;D ;D

I already mentioned this somewhere (Des, where ??? ? just kiddin ;D ), but it would be nice if the actual hour somebody entered / left the chatroom would be added to the  log sentence. i.e. "PedroER has left the chatroom - 10.10pm"
Sometimes I go in and see somebody saying "anybody there??" but when was that??

Think you have to keep "refreshing" the page to see who is currently online or in the chatroom - does yours not give an accurate picture when "refreshed"?

Agree with PER it could be useful to give times of entry to and exit from chatroom - but what do others think?  And I can't recall whether or not Michael said it was possible??

Hi Alison/PedroER  ;)

Not sure it is possible to put dates/times in the Chat Room but I will investigate. To be honest the software that runs the forum can be a bit flaky (pun intended) at times and that applies to the chat room particularly. The software is provided free by YaBB and supported by enthusiastic amateurs. There are lots of modifications forum owners can make but we have to rely on the "gurus" at YaBB to code them first.

As you have noticed PedroER the site renders differently if you look at in IE or Netscape and it is different again depending on what version of these browsers you use. Netscape 7 is better than Netscape 6 for instance..

As Nicky has already said, people log on and off all the time so you need to refresh your browser to check who is online form one moment to the next...

LOL!!  For some reason Ian's name appears 2 or 3 times when in the chat room  :-/  

Ian is in it twice just now and he isn't even online :o

Anna this is a problem that happens when people access the chatroom using AOL's internal browser  :)
