I use another forum similar to this one and it has a dropdown when you hover your cursor over a thread title so you can read the first few lines of the last post.

Is that available?

Also it has a button that allows you go directly to that last post rather than having to scroll down the last page.

Getting really sick of having to open a thread, scroll down only to read a series of 'LOL  ' etc...

you could use the  go to bottom which is at the top of each post..
