finding the forum
« on: October 31, 2008, 04:15:17 PM »
i just did a google search under psoriasis and it is very hard to find this forum...

even under the more specific  search "psoriasis help"...one gets PHO but then you come to the site and must see the  "forum" button and then go through what i think is another maze to register etc...it should simply open up to the forum with a large button..make it a big welcome mat...

if the idea it to get to as many people as possible..it should be much easier to find on google ...and it should have a large button stating forum...come in...look around and join....

just my impressions...bj

See you point...but also see the frontpage, where the Googler is taken, has the word 'forum' and an explanation of what the hub of the site is all about as the first thing they see?

Thanks BJM

Our posistion on Google isn't something we can directly control, we can try to influence it but it is 90% out of our control..

I am not sure what more we can do regarding the front page, the attached pictures show some of the places that the forum is either mention or linked to on the front pgae..

If you can be more specific, perhaps I am missing something.

I think bjm was saying the site should have the forum as frontpage rather than the current frontpage? Or, it should be the centre of the frontpage in big letters?

Yeah thats what I took from his comment, and I understand what he means, possibly coming direct to the forum as a mainpage and then having links to the rest of the site as apposed to the other way round as it is now would be a better idea....
