If you are a member of other 'forums' (ie a website that contains member-made posts), you'll actually find this one very organised and actually quite easy to navigate to find what you are looking for.
Most forums, even if they have individually organised boards, tend to be pretty haphazard.
This place is pretty big too...3500 members is enormous really and makes it the largest psoriasis forum is Europe I think...
I agree that members could think more carefully about the title of their threads...that is something the everyone could actually do something about. As it is, we try and leave this kind of thing to the membership...this place is pretty self-regulating all in all and the only real problems occur in the CC board (which has nothing to do with what the forum is about at all).
I also agree that the fact this place is non-profit making, run by volunteers and has no advertising in place to find it could be made clearer at the homepage...proof being you didn't know about it!
You'll also find that the FAQS on P treatments, written by the mods, get a lot of hits from non-members (some of them are the first find on google.co.uk when you put a one word related search in) and have obviously become a resource for all P people.
It is the way of the net and people that members come and go, drop in daily or not so often. We get a lot of guests!
All in all, I reckon this place does OK when you take into consideration that it is completely privately-owned and volunteer-run...but always room for improvement
