New forum idea

Hello.. excuse me for butting in because  I am posting under a new members name.. Mark.. who is my husband.  He has already found this site so helpful as we have always felt quite isolated re: his condition (primarily the arthritis related to psoriasis.) and about how it affects him and us as a family.

I was wondering whether you had ever thought of having a forum for other-halves/family members of sufferers.. or perhaps there is no real need for this.. so just a thought.  But I have realised, reading this forum that I have never chatted to anyone who whose husband/wife goes through the same  difficulties as we as a family do seeing Mark suffer so much agony and not being able to help him. It would be good to chat to others who understand.

Just a thought. no problem if it's a not a practical idea.

We have thought about this in the past...but we feel now and then too that the current forums are adequate in that they give access to all members and treatments equally.

We sometimes get the odd other half here and they post within the current forums happily  

And all the members and team are vey happy to have you here...so refreshing to see family members not only taking an interest, but also asking for advice and supporting their loved ones.

I always say 'he/she is lucky to have such a wonderful friend/otherhalf/parent'.

And you have just proved that once again

I agree completely with SJ.

it is very nice to see close ones on the forum.  

Feel free to post on the forum. Youmight even be able to tell us what's an "other half" point of view / experience is.

I think Kirst has become so much a part of this forum I sometimes forget that she hasnt actually got the P, its her daughter that suffers.

Yeah why not. I think its a great idea! After all its not just the sufferers that need support and help, but the close family too!
