Notification time outs

When you set a notification to be mailed on replies to a topic you are involved in, how long does it take before the period of notification times out?   Can this be changed/ configured  somewhere? Did about four subjects today and two have gone already, seems a bit quick that.

Notifications don't time out. As long as people keep replying to the topic that you have setup the notification on you should receive the notification email.

There might be a delay between someone posting a reply and you getting the notification but you should always get it..

thanks for the reply Michael. I have found though that when I set notification to a few topics, they seem to time out after a while. is that because, as you already said, there is no inteest left in the topic? When i
I check my notifications at top, it shows the current subjects, but some have gone from the list? Ah well, thanks for the response anyhow Pal.

Notifications still disappearing from my list within the day. Don't know if there is anything that can be done about this? or will I just have to live with it? Even some I set up today, just after lunch time, have now gone, including the notification for this thread itself?  Don't know, it beats me.........
