Over 21's forum?
« on: February 12, 2006, 04:28:15 PM »
I dunno if this has been suggested before but on a few other forums I've been on, they have an over 21's board that you cant use unless you're... well, over 21. I just thought it might be a good idea to have something similar on here. Since we already have the young persons board. It'd just maybe keep chit chat a bit cleaner :-?

Hi Dani

I take your point about a younger persons board, implying that there ought to be an Adult only board but it's not that easy, this has come up before and our considered opinion is that it is not what this site is about and there are plenty of opportunities to use forums focused on adult content out there on the net.

Also I'm not sure about the practicalities of excluding minors from a board automatically which would mean a much larger drain on the Mods time.

At the end of the day it's up to all members to post within the rules of the Forum and I do wonder at those who persistantly post in breech of them, it's not like it's hard to find adult content forums and is a pointless waste of our (Mods) time.

Our aim is to maintain what we would like to think is the best P support forum we can achieve, free from bias or commercial interest. With accurate information and wholehearted support for our fellow sufferer's

Not somewhere to "talk dirty" to each other.

Hi Dani

I see your point to be honest (echoing Tim) feel that it would not be practical and we would not be able to prevent minors from accessing the pages (they would simply have to lie about their age when registering).  I don't think that this is the way to go on here and the majority of the members are here for p support and advice.

As Tim has already said there are plenty of places online where you can do "over 21" stuff
