The reason I have not posted much here lately ....
« on: February 21, 2008, 08:08:00 AM »
Dear Sirs,

You recently emailed me as to why I had not visited or posted much on this site.

My comment is as follows.  I have been looking for a psoriasis site for a while I have had psoriasis for 18 years.
You site is very big and very active compared with many others I have seen. So I htouyght great this will be abel to help me, indeed I would be prepared to donate.

But I was unable to find any one who had found a cure, or who could spread their method of controlling their psoriasis.

There seem to be many posts like "I am trying this and it seems to work". Then others try it with no success and then the original poster says that it is no longer working.

To me the silly thing is some people and doctors say that it is to do with ones liver and diet etc. Others say that creams etc will cure it.  Well I am a fairly logical type of guy and a disease should only be able to be cured one way. So what is it diet ? or creams ?

So I have come to the conclusion along with many other sufferers that we have to suffer it with no sign of a cure yet.

I will scan some of the threard again to see if anything has changed.

Kind Regards

the only thing one can do is change a few things in ones life style,
wether diet,supplments etc,,,which ones?
well that would be down to the individual,
diet
skin type,
what type of p...plack guttate ppp,
family history of p or any other autoimmune diseases..etc etc,
smoking ,
drinking,
working indoors
just a few things have to be considered.................. 8)

We all wish there was a cure, a simple answer that would work for everyone. Bad sad to say there isn't.

Hi Digby
We all would like a cure but as you summise there is not one yet. We are a support forum which is aimed at helping us all cope with P and a place where we can exchange ideas and experiences and talk too each other, something not easily done when we are 1-2% of the population.

If this could be 'cured' there wouldn't be any need for forums such as these.  I too am a logical person and my logic leads to me to the conclusion that each and every one of us is an individual.  Therefore, its also logical to conclude that the same thing wont work for everyone.  :)

If such a 'cure' existed - I think it would make world headlines as some 5 million people suffer from this condition.

I have had friends  with P, who have cleared it...I have also had friends with P who have controlled it...for some, it just disappeared...there is hope out there...just believe, and keep the faith.

The conservative figure is nearer 125 million actually. I believe it could even be twice that....
