Su..couldn't say it better myself!  the one thing this forum always had going for it was the fact that ANYBODY could at ANYTIME bring up a subject that had been explored before............we all need time to adjust to p and I for one am most happy to speak to anyone who is 'new' to it

In a way the combination of boards and FAQ's etc that we have offers a good balance between the two.
The fact that you all notice the boards first shows that the boards are where we all look and post info. but when you are describing something as complex as the regime for the blood tests with MTX a reference is useful to refer to in a post via a link to explain the technical side along side the individual comments, which as you rightly point out help make this forum what it is.
Never underestimate the power of human stupidity.

Hi All

As Tim said there is already a frequently asked section and a treatments section. At the top of this page you will see:

Online Resources for Psoriasis Discussion Board - The Recreation Room

Under that you will see a link the the FAQ's page.

The Treatments page is here

Too right Tom, this is all about individuals and every body has an individual experience of p - best not to 'lump' certain stuff together

FAQ might end up reading like a guide and have the feel of 'no deviation from the aforementioned' we all know that stuff comes up on the boards over and over again, but it always comes out different due to the people who respond and their slant on the topic

I'd hate to loose the freshness and personal touch I feel the board has now

I don't care how many times the same topic comes up - I'll always take part if I feel I have something worthy to add!!

I agree fully Su - but I dare to think that the mods do too ;)
As Tim says, it's not because there's a FAQ page up, that peeps aren't allowed to ask questions anymore - or that they won't get any answers, for that matter. That's such an important aspect of this place, and that will never go away, don't worry ;)

It's just nice to have something to refer back to, f.ex. just before a derm visit. The info is nice and compacted in a FAQ, and easier to print - I can just see myself arriving in hospital with a 97 pages printout, including my own inane drivel, Harry's Gaffa (;) :-*) and JJ's comments..... ;D
I'd be shipped off to the psych ward in a flash ;D

Seriously, one doesn't rule out the other :)
And some peeps may actually prefer a short and concise explanation (don't forget how many members there are who have never posted - some of them may be too shy to ask, but they need the info all the same....)

So I think it's great the Michael and the Mods (A new band!! :O ;D) offer both possibilities :D

And we'll always all keep answering questions, no matter how often a subject has been covered - that's what we're here for!!! :D :D

;)

I agree with the lovely lady above.... ;D ;D

people often ask the same kind of questions but equally often there is a twist to the question that hasn't been discussed before....

Me too ...

We are here to ask and answer questions first.

As many times as required ... no limit.

IF all that knowledge can be put into a logical sequence in a perpetually updated FAQ then the Forum is optimised to a tee.

Both serve members needs ... perfect!

:)
