Let's start with Queen's English first then move on to advanced languages like Geordie, Zummerset, Cockney and Irony later
I suppose there might be a need for a board for those of non-UK extraction to discuss comparative treatments etc too
" I suppose there might be a need for a board for those of non-UK extraction to discuss comparative treatments etc too "
If the above statement wasn't so infantile and childish I would have called it racist and offensive.
I rest my case
What???

apologies to the mods for going offtopic here but I take huge offense at being called racist.
There was nothing even mildly offensive there! the reply was a simple bit of sarcasm and cynisism in kind in respnse to lalaallot's post.
I used non-UK Extraction to quite correctly cover both those people from and living overseas and those from overseas that now live in the UK, it is a perfectly correct use of the phrase, and a phrase that is not in any way racist.
And as to your issues with mine and other previous posts by UK members who do actually support the idea of a non-UK board on PHO...well frankly this is a UK based board, the vast majority of us are British or British born or British Raised, and so you have to learn to cope or understand the British sense of humour, Irony, Sarcasm , absurdity, surrealism, cynisism, the macabre, smut, innuendo, class-ist it may be; and it seems on occasion completely unintelligible to anyone not born and raised here. Too be doubly sure a lot of us are sure to include the necessary emotes and smilies to notify those that don't get it that this is intended as a humourous comment or statement.
but if you don't "get" something posted here in all innocence I would suggest that you PM the poster and ask them if your interpretation is correct before accusing people, of whom you know nopthing personally, of racism or causing deliberate offence.
Everything you seem to be taking offence at is nothing but basic british humour, not in the slightest bit offensive, and not intended in any way to be so; sarcastic maybe, but you really are not going to escape sarcasm on any UK forum.
