I login ok but I can't seem to stay logged in?
« on: May 10, 2003, 10:26:57 AM »

If you login to the forum then try to access your Instant Messages, Start a New Topic or Reply to a Topic and are told something along the lines of:

"To post you must be logged in if you don't have an account yet register."

or

"Instant Messaging is only for members"

You may need to change some of the settings in your Internet Browser.

The Problem is generally experienced by IE (Internet Explorer ) Users.

Try these settings..>

Try setting your privacy settings to lowest and try then to stay logged onto the forum this has been successful for others.

  • Step 1. Within IE go to >Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Accept all cookies (set lowest).

  • Step 2.  Then go to Advanced Privacy Settings > Check "Override automatic cookie handling" First -party  and third party cookie set to "Accept" Check "always allow session cookies".

  • Step 3. If you prefer not to set the browser to accept "All Cookies"  for your security reasons, you can do the following as an alternative:

Go to Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Web sites > Edit. Then type the url (the address) of the web site and click "Allow".

In this instance the URL of the web site you want to allow is You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Perhaps you are you using the ZoneAlarm Firewall?

Zone Alarm blocks 3rd party cookies thus never saving your login data. Within ZoneAlarm turn 3rd party cookie blocking off and it should work.

If none of the above works reply to the signup email you were sent, the one with your username & password in it and we will try our best to sort out the problem.

Thanks
Michael
