I have just tried it and it worked ok for me... I had two different gif files I uploaded one then uploaded the other without problem.

You need to select the location of the image file your are uploading and the click on the save changes at the bottom of the profile page.

Once this is complete use your browser to refresh the page. The new picture should appear once the page has been refreshed...
