Hi Dobbin Smiley

If you decide to go for LDN treatment, your best possible option would be to
Contact Linda from LDN trust who posted on the original LDN thread here:
http://www.psoriasis-help.org.uk/forum/index.php/topic,23518.110.html
she a a list of prescribing docs for ldn..

Exert from linda’s post(not a p sufferer but has helped greatly with her MS):
“Any GP can prescribe LDN on the NHS if they think it is of therapeutic benefit, many are not prepared to do this. I do know several GP’s in the UK who are willing to prescribe LDN for psoriasis.
If I can help anyone please get in contact with me via the LDN Research Trust.
I hope LDN can help you like it has me.
Linda”

I chose the essential health clinic in Glasgow as they are LDN frontrunners and the pharmacy there has an excellent reputation for compounding the ldn, who post out to you direct.

Costs for consultation vary depending on where you are and which private doc you see.  I paid £120 face to face initial consultation, £40 follow up phone consultation
And £15 a month for the LDN from dicksons chemist.

I did try to obtain on nhs from derm and GP, who did not consent to prescribing
LDN, bummer but that’s life Roll Eyes

I myself see LDN as an inexpensive, non toxic treatment options before trying the more potent biologic options...hope it works out!!!

Good luck dobbin Cool

hi ash Wink how ya doin' fella?

you can either order with the doc or the pharmacy if it's for the same dose amount.
the doc/pharm just mails each other to approve, no real problem.

2 weeks in for Paul now - he feels his hands and lower legs have been quite red and sore over the last few days, but skin doesn't seem to be building up so quickly.  Hoping the soreness is temporary.  He'll need to contact the clinic next week about whether to increase the dose and get a repeat prescription.

hi ash

google healthshield..that's the plan i'm in...so far as costs are concerned...as i'm part of a corporate plan,
pre existing conditions were waived...if you take a personal plan...don't know if this would be the case m8.
you'd have to check the small print Sad
it costs me £12 per month to cover OH, daughter and myself for dental, optical, massage Cheesy amongst other things
upto a pre-defined limit of course, which is reviewed year on year Roll Eyes
i can deffo see OH taking on the massge lol.

from personal bad experience ash...always check the t&c's thououghly yourself ! if you are looking for a health plan,
google around, insurance companies are losing out at mo (crunch time), and may offer you some great deals.

good luck with the 2mg dose  Cool
pie Wink

hope
