I thought it worth asking - has anyone got temporal arteritis?

For a few weeks now, I've been getting odd pains near my eye. Earlier in the week, my friend saw me rubbing my temple, and said I should get it seen, as it was swollen there.  Then yesterday it was really bad, my daughter was visiting and nagged me to do something about it, so I finally went to my GP (miraculous, there was a same day appointment!).

She says it may be this thing, so wants blood tests. Well, she has ticked FBC, ESR and CRP - so what's the difference, same tests I already have regularly, how do they tell what's causing what?!

Help!

I don't know what temporal arteritis is, but can tell you that I have had PA pain in my eyebrows.  PA inflames the whole body.  Must admit I was surprised when I got the eyebrow pain, as I was sure PA had hit every damn inch of my body.
