hi , i'm currently on ciclosporin ( 9 days now ) and just wondered if anyone who has been on it before was tempted or used any creams to treat the p whilst still taking ciclosporin . I'm having quite a good response from the ciclo ( paler patches and quite smooth ) but its weird not putting creams on after all these years ( 30 years with guttate .....not continuous i may add ) thanks , ady

Hi

I've used Diprosalic whilst on cyclo in the past, and also used nothing but moistureisers (which is what i'm doing now) Think it depends on how bad your p is and your derm.

Hope cyclo continues to work for you!

Im on my second lot of Ciclo and find im clearing again, im not bothing with creams at the moment.............lasy I guess.

Biggest thing I noticed about ciclo was in bed when I got clear, While I was getting to sleep or getting comfortable and my hands wrapped around my body...................it wasnt my body ...................no scabby bits of skin.

And like you its been 30 years with crappy skin. And as it happens im about 9 days in to my Ciclo as well.

Hope you have as much luck as me, I had 8 months totally clear till my BP went up to high so they tooke me off of it.

Regards John

8)Unfortunately I am unable to take any form of medication over a prolonged period as I have a severe adverse reaction to every Drug I have tried. But I do keep up the moisturising as it does help and even when my skin is clear, which isn't very often, (usually after a stint in the Dermatology Ward for 2-3wks) I have found using Hydromol Emollient and Baby Oil in the bath is really helping and I have stopped using soap and shower creams except for feet, under arms and privates and this has calmed my skin down and I am using Hydromol ointment on a morning and bathing on a night time, (at least 30mins submersion). If the hydromol is too greasy use a light moisturiser. Hydromol ointment is also a good soap substitute for use in the shower.

Same here, every drug i've used has awful side effects except Enbrel!

Did you get the Hydromol from the RVI or just from your local chemists?
