my names ali and i am 24 years old. Ive been suffering from the dreaded P since the age of about 8. It started off with a small patch on my scalp and before i knew it it completely took over my life.
ive tried numerous treatments over the years from hot climate holidays to alternative medication such as homeopathy and chinese herbs but to this day im struggling to find a treatment which can properly suppress it. Although some treatments have been effective initially afterwards there seems to be periods of immunity whereby there is no progress at all.
Over the years i have had difficulties trying to come to terms with the condition as ive questioned whether id ever have smooth silky skin like they do in adverts. At times stay in bed all day and ive used drugs just to create a mental block so id stop thinking about psoriasis.
Nowadays im a lot wiser though and have learnt to deal with the problem. My skins not too bad at the moment but ive still got really minute patches all over my body. I keep on coming out in spots which emanate into psoriasis patches although the pathces do not expand like they used. I do not know why that is but i guess it must have something to do with 'dovonex' ointment which im using at the moment. Thats enough of me blabbing on - it nice to to know im not the only one out there and hope every1 has joy in overcoming the problem. signing out...
