1st post -Itchy and scratchy
« on: April 05, 2011, 10:23:20 PM »
Hi, this is my first post on here, a little nervous about it...
I have had P for most of my adult life, I hate it and feel like an ogre, especially when people see my skin. I see their reaction and feel like screaming, it's not contagious!!!
I am now using Dithrocream. I have tried loads of topical ointments and anti-histomeens too but I scratch myself in my sleep and any progress I make when in the land of the living is undone the following day.  I get very stressed out all the time and doctor says that stress does not help my condition...
I have P all over my body, scalp, eyebrows,h ands etc...  Just feel horrible all the time.
Anyway just wanted to say hi to everyone... This is a really cool thing to be able to contact fellow sufferers.
 :)

Welcome along FS! You'll find nothing but support and nice people that understand living with P!

Have a good look around and hopefully you'll find something that works for you

hi there :)

no need to be nervous ;)..just glad you joined in!

dithrocream is a messy staining treatment...i used it in conjunction (short contact) with uvb sessions
many moons back...used to get purple "dithro rings" round cleared skin :o
i invented a new look for underwear ::) ;D with that cream plastered under my smalls...

plenty of moisturiser and get back to derm for a proper treatment plan!
welcome aboard!
pie ;)
