Hiya to all,well been to consultant today to see how its going the uvb light treatment with my daughter who is 8 years old had that nearly 6 weeks and extended for another 5 to 6 weeks more to we see him again.he said my daughters face is better but little improvement everywere else said we are in for the longhaul what ever that meant.if light not worked by end of this time scale he will put her on systemics tablet or liquid form more than likely cyclosporin  could anyone tell more on systemics please and your opinion on whether another 6 weeks treatment should work will be much appreciated on your help once more and thankyou

we are all different peps what helps 1 does not mean it helps all
else we woould all be on the same treatment

puva= poly tar baths &mop 8 worked well for me for a while

hope the light treatment is the 1 that  helps your daughter gain a long remission

Her grandson as just started on methotrexate,  but was on another oral med before that one,  she  may well be willing to tell you all about Brandons experiences on oral meds.  You will see from the thread that Brandon is only 11 years old.   I'm sure if you sent a pm she would happily answer.

Like I posted in the linked thread,  I am on methotrexate and have no problems.  I was weary about taking it and put it off for years.  But in reality there has been no problems whatsoever for me.   But I am of course much older.

As for another six weeks of treatment . . . . it could make allthe difference.   Lets hope so.
