Things like Evening primrose, royal Jelly and cod liver oil are taken orally in capsuls rather than rubbed on the skin, but then I suppose that'd work too.

I've tried all of these in the past but not any more, it cost too much to keep taking them.

Hi tbrown
on the treatment front........I used steroid cream for a long time , I found that it helped but when I stopped using it the dreaded P came back with avengance, and it made my skin very thin and delicate.  So I decided to stop going to my doctor for P and try and help myself. I now only use herbal things, which are, one daily dose of a herbal detoxifying drink called Intra (it is available world wide but only via distributors), Pokeroot ointment from Napiers the Herbalist in Edinburgh (they also do mail order),  and tea tree shampoo for the scalp. I haven't tried any special diets but am toying with the idea of the Pagano diet ( I could do to lose about 20 lbs anyway!!)
I also receive Reiki healing sessions which are very relaxing - anything to relieve stress is a good thing.
Love & Light,
KT

thanks so much kt!! I am quite interested in everyones self healing tactics! I am sick to death of my doctor....he doesnt really even seem to care whether or not I get better. And the steroid ointment is $40.00 (usa) for a tiny tiny tube that last about a week!!! And all it does is make my skin very thin and greasy! Ugh!!   I am going to find something else! I have to!

All of your suggestions are great! Im takin notes!

Does anyone know if Flax seed oil helps ??? Someone told me it did but....they dont have P!! And I'll be damned if Im gonna put on another oil that doesnt work! Ugh! Oil of Evening Primrose sounds very ladylike.... :D maybe I will try some of that!  (of course if you told me a used jock strap placed firmly on my nose for 24 hours helped ....i'd do that too) ;D

Tonya, Flax seeds are recommended under the Pagano diet. They are a good source of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids which both supposedly help p and are an alternative to fish oils.

I have put below a couple of links to previous posts about Flax seeds.
