guttate psoriasis
« on: February 08, 2012, 07:23:34 PM »
Hi All
Don't normally post on here although I am a regular in the clinic. I have had joint problems as long as I can remember but things got out of control just over three years ago and I was given a probably diagnosis of  PA but I have never knowingly had P except for a small patch at the base of my scalp at which time the rheumy confirmed his diagnosis.

Anyway I have been on several dmards and have just started anti tnfs and apart from that small patch have never had any probs with my skin. Until now!

Last week I got a couple of sore patches on my eyelids and have now noticed several other small blobs of red flat sore and itchy patches and wonders if it could be guttate P. What does it look/ feel like?

I have been to docs but he didn't and did mention P but he said it usually has silvery edges which I know is the case with plaque p but is it the case with guttate?

Any thoughts

Hi smose,

I am new to the forum but I have spent time looking at the different types of psoriasis and guttate is characterized as red drop-like lesions.

Hope this helps

Well sort of pleased cos it isn't guttate its ipetego!
Sort of glad cos it means I don't have to deal with p as well as pa but then it also means I am back on anitbiotics and can't take my golimumab. So now I am worrying that i will end up been in a constent battle with infections and never be able to get on top of PA
any way thanks for listening - back to the clinic for me
