Helo everyone.  Just a qucik note to introduce myself and look for help and support.

I have had P for about five years where it appeared on my scalp (one large area) and one knee.  Being a man I thought it would go away and that I would not need to visit the doc.... how wrong was I???

I was originally prescribed Dovobet cream and scalp application, but these did not seem to make any difference.

Thankfully my knee has cleared up completely using Dovonex ointment, although my scalp has cleared up once (completely), but now returned with a few patches in different parts.

I have now developed a red rash on my cheeks, forehead and temples for which I have been prescribed hydro-cortison, but with no effect.  I have also had outbreaks on my nails which I believe are very difficult to treat.

If you have any advice for face and nails treatments, I would be really pleased.

Welcome to the site Mcalpit, I was prescribed the same as yourself for the face, I find it keeping it at bay but not really improving it much, I also have it on the nails and have been offered no advice on this, tend to just keep em trim.

Hi  mcalpit

Best advice for face is keep using a moisturiser try aqueous cream.  It does help.  Scalp use a coal tar shampoo and finish up with any other shampoo and use conditioner as it stops the scalp getting too dry

oil helps me on my nails i use this daily and it helps a lot...

not sure about the scalp though as nothing i ever use helps, but uvb cleared it up a bit!
