hi guys my name is Neil and i have been a sufferer of plaque p since i was 22 and am now 47, as you can imagine over the years i have tried every topical cream and steroid cream you can mention, none of them seem to do me any favours most would relive the plaques but i have never been clear in all 25 years, not even a reduction in size. my p only ever seemes to get bigger but not any soarer which I'm thankfull for.
i have just finished a clinical trial at hope hospital in manchester ( this isn't my normal hospital or derm ) the trail was for cnto 1275 that was its name when i started, the trail was between etanercept and cnto 1275 basically to work out the dose when the new drug is released onto the market, i started with 1 injection at week one of the trial and another injection at week 4, by week six i hadn't one bit of p that i could find. this is an amazing drug ( if it works for you ) the study carried on for 64 weeks mainly checkups once the drug had been taken although if you got a flair up between week 4 to week 40 they would give you a booster injection. this drug is supposed to be administered once every 3 month

, i never got my booster my p stayed clear up until around week 55 thats a year from 2 injections. unfortunately it has just started to return with just one spot on the elbow (tiny) and one slightly bigger on the knee. so since then i sacked my normal derm as i only ever got no you cant try that its to expensive :'( and have gone to hope hospital.
i have seen a new derm there and she has now started me on fumaderm, this will be my 4th week the side effects are terrible my stomach feels like its being kicked, very nauseous ( have been sick a couple of times ) and seem to be off my food, i go back to see the derm on Wednesday so will have to see what she says, i know these side effects are the norm but she told me the stomach craps would be tolerable but I'm finding it very hard to tolerate. so basically thats my 25 year story in a few lines lol.
if anyone using fumaderm on here could tell me if this is normal or how long before the side effects start to dissapear that would be good and thanks for taking the time to read this post
regards Neil.
