Hey i was told i had psoriasis about 2 weeks ago. And its making me really self-consious
Im only 15 and i feel like im never going to be able to meet anyone anymore beacuse of fear of what they will think

Hi Nicky,

Welcome along  :) I've had p since I was 10. It's normal to feel self conscious about your p, the important thing is that you have found us - hopefully talking to people who understand will help you feel much better about it!

I used to think I'd never meet anyone too, but I've got a lovely boyfriend who isn't at all bothered by my p. Don't worry, you will meet loads of guys who appreciate you for who you are (the rest aren't worth worrying about anyway!).

Hi Nicky,
I too was diagnosed at the age of 15 and I know what its like to have Psoriasis at that age but as for meeting a partner dont worry cos when you meet the right person they wont care if you have P or two heads they will love you for who you are, this site is full of P sufferers and most of us have partners and families , what has your GP prescribed ? and remember if it gets too bad you should ask your GP to refer you to your local dermotologist

hello nicky and welcome from me too  :D ,

i was 12 when i got my psoriasis and i had lots of fears about meeting people and how they would react to me , but honestly dont worry about it , you are not alone , this place will give you confidence maybe not right away as you have not long been diaignosed but through time . nice to have you on board  :D

Hi Nicky & welcome. I got p when I was 4, & it can be a dificult time going through it when you're a teenager. We've got a few peeps on here who are under 18. If you go & have a look on the young members board, there may be threads that will have answers to some of your questions.
