Hi. Just developed Plaque P.
« on: January 13, 2012, 03:55:08 PM »
Hello,

I'm 33 and just developed Plaque P in various places, legs, back, arms, face, ears and my head feels like the surface of the moon!  :-\

It all started a few months back with a patch on my elbow didn't know what it was a first, doctor thought it was a keratine horn. But then it popped up all over the place. Now have plaque patches that build up then fall off then build up again.

The only ones bothering me are my face and head (bits you can see) growing my hair and changing style to cover up my scalp it looks nasty!

Tried Dovonex but didn't do much, now on betnovate not doing much either. Bit confused as to what to try next!!!

Might make a list and try them all see what works best.

Anyway any advice for a n00b will greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
G.

Tell your doc you want a referral to dermatologist, they're the ones that know their stuff. Beware dovobet (use search box on here and you'll find plenty of info on it)
Derm will get you onto light treatment, probably UVB which should help and is usually what they start with

But the imporstant thing is to get that referral, docs will drag their heels on this and continue prescribing ointments that frankly dont help.
Though the doc should be able to prescribe something that will help your scalp, it doesnt seem he/she has?
