really wee wee me off mate, specially on the hands!!! after what stage did the derms advise your Humira? had 11 sessions of UVA and only 5 left with not much improvement!

Hello and welcome along to the fourm. I haven't had UV treatment for about 15 years, so can't really comment. Hope you get some help soon.

Hi, have just finished my UVB treatment 15 sessions in all, and I have to say I'm more than a little disappointed! the patches have flattened, but still have patches!!!! all be it the patches look like brown bruise like stains on my skin, May be asking for to much for total disappearance, but hey oh live in hope! I have also started to get little patches coming out in area's I did not have before! really pi&*ed off!! anyone out there have the same experience as me on the UV? Nurse told me to use Dovabet on new patches! rrrrr, was told by the nurse ''Steroid Cream is under used as a treatment'' really I said, used Dovabet for years with no clearing of P, to be honest I thought Dova made the skin look worse!!!rrrr, can't see my Derm until Dec, so not sure what the next move is!

Hi Tyson, why only 15 sessions? I normally do at least 20, and one course was even 25 sessions. Also it is good to do a maintenance once a week after you finish.

Hi, was told by the Nurse, that the treatment sessions have been cut down!!! by new Hospice policy!! have got to discuss with Derm properly when i get to see her! what sort of maintenance do you do? I moisturise every day! have tried not use the dovabet! as my belief is this steroid cream is not good for me!!

This is unacceptable, to limit your sessions to 15! One definitely needs more than that to clear, although if you do bj's formula at the same time you can cut down on total sessions needed.

Ideally, maintenance treatment of one session a week is good to maintain the clearance, because if you stop the P will come back quite quickly for some people (like me!)

I also stay away from Dovobet, but i use Dovonex.

They have not mentioned any maintenance program to me! just said that i have to see the derm in DEC! they have told me I am only allowed 200 sessions in my life time, not sure if this is correct, meeting with Derm for discussions on next course of action, I do use Dovobet, but only very very very little! dovonex did absolutely nothing! have you ever used coal tar treatments? not had great success with any cream if I'm honest  I could live this horrible condition if I did not have it on my hands!! but hey if life was only that simple Hey
