Hullo
« on: August 14, 2004, 01:49:19 PM »
For a start I like to say hello to everyone.

I'm 24 living in the UK and been having Psoriasis ever since I was 15. I've got moderate/ servere p from head to legs in sporadic locations of my body and to be honest, its been a real burden on me and towards my mother. The last few years haven't been well I guess.

Ive been on various treatments from steroids, col tar, UV and chinese herbal medicine without much success.

The dead sea salts have managed to relieve me to a certain degree.

Bout couple months ago I decided to relist onto a demotologist for motherly reasons and he gave me

Prototopic 0.1% and Micanol

although Prototopic wasn't stated on the instructions for p, it actually works. A huge majority of my p has been reduced within a night's worth. In my current situation I still have the p's patch layout but it's a very faint redness. Also to note, the p patches actually feel like normal skin!

I'm fairly impressed by this prototopic treatment however, I'm still a bit skeptical about whether it may be able to completey rid the patch. Nethertheless, its helped regained some of my remaining dignity.

I'm considering some more radical treatment such as traveling to Turkey for the fish treatment. However I'm having some difficulty in finding reviews from former sufferers who has already been there (cept the Daily Express News coverage).

Anyway enough of my ramblings and Good Day to you all =)

Daniel

Hiya Daniel & welcome aboard. Sorry to hear of your pain with your P.

I haven't heard about the treatment in Turkey, though there is alot on here about the Dead Sea, and you can speak to matteille (paul) who can tell you all you need to know about the clinic out in the dead sea, Stewarthollyhead has been to a clinic out in Fortueventura and i'm off there for a week in October, drop em a line I know there be more then glad to give you any info that they can give.

Hang in there mate
