best thing to do is get your GP to refer you to a dermatologist, although P can't be cured there are lots of treatments out there to make things easier.

Good idea to get yourself to docs...

I've been suffering a great deal with P in exactly the same place for months and have tried most things.

I received some brilliant advice - try sudocream (for nappy rash!) - I noticed the difference in about 3 days.

The P down there can also easily infected with bacteria and / or fungus so get it checked out (not fun) but hey better than having ants in your pants ;D

Get yourself to a doctor or derm. There are different treatments that the different types of p respond to. Best of luck.

Hi friend diagnosed with inverse real bad six months ago know how distressed you get, be persistent with the derm team phone the secretary direct that helps speed things up acetterin 25mg worked for me, but after a flare up now on 450mg cyc and 25mg acetetrin till they reduce it now it's calmed down. Don't lose heart but be very very very pushy as I find inverse armpits and groin so distressing and debilitating keep telling them so they act fast

I also have genital psoriasis. I have patches on other parts of my body, but they are not large and are kept well under control by the frequent application of Diprobase which stops the itching and build up of skin.
But I am struggling to cope with the itching, pain and soreness from down below. My GP has prescribed Dovobet - which says it's not suitable for this area, then  Licoid lipocream,  which just burns like hell when applied and  Betnovate C-  which does take any infection out but stains everything yellow.
Everywhere I've looked the advice is not to use steroids on the sensitive areas and not for more than a week, so I use the Betnovate every 2 or 3 nights, (I was told only to use it at night so the skin isn't covered tight) This takes the soreness down to a tolerable level, but doesn't stop the itching. I use pots and pots of sudocream but get so little sleep as I constantly wake myself up scratching and then I scratch so hard I hurt and so on. Some days it hurts to sit down, some days to walk.
Please, please, please can anyone else that suffers like this give me some advice and hope?

Curatoderm is a vitamin D cream that is gentle enough to use on your face and genitals. I use it on my face everyday, and down below when it is fierce, itchy, etc. Doesn't even sting on cracked and open skin. Try it!
I gather olive oil is good for bringing relief too..

Did that work at all? I've used it on my hands when they were really itchy and it seemed to help. It's definitely gentle, but it is greasy and slimy. But then so is Curatoderm..  :P

I buy pure olive oil from the Chemist and when I'm incredibly sore I just sit in a bath of luke warm water & oil in it for about 20 minutes. It is soothing and helps for a few hours.
