Well Dani, it's a little difficult to explain Reiki in just a couple of sentences
but basically it's a type of healing, and I guess it has been covered somewhere in the boards already (Des ), but I'll get back to you on that subject with links and more info.

Maybe we can even start a new thread covering the subject??

I'll try and answer your question briefly about Reiki....Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on of hands". The person receiving the healing remains fully clothed (as does the person administering the healing!!!!).
Reiki is a special kind of healing energy that can only be channeled by someone who has been attuned to it. However, any one of us can learn how to do it. I have been attuned to the second level and try to give myself a healing session every day. It is  extremely relaxing . I also find that I'm developing a spiritual part of me that up till a year ago I would have denied existed.

Hi Dani
I found my Reiki healer via a personal contact. Perhaps you know someone who has had healing? If not look up the yellow pages  (You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login ).  Or, you could make inquiries at your local alternative health clinic. Make sure that the healer is attuned to the second level - minimum, and has been practising for at least one year.
As to costs - I paid £15.00 per session which usually lasted about 2 hours. This cost can vary,  I was lucky and was at the cheaper end of the scale, with a very experienced healer.  Good luck.
