Hi Katie!

Welcome to the forum! :) I used to live in Spain and my psoriasis cleared up totally while I was there (it was gone for well over a year and came back for my last few months - perhaps the stress of returning to London! :D)

I hope you find all the stuff here helpful! You should give your sister a good kick in the shins for her cheek! ;)

Hi and welcome Katie!

You are in the right place for help and advice!  I've only just found this place myself and over the past week I feel more optimistic.  I've had great feedback on anything I've wanted to know and found out about creams, lotions etc. that I have never heard of or been offered before but will be recommending from my GP.

Like you, I also have p on my scalp, 95% covered aswell so it's pretty darn hard to hide it, especially as I have really dark hair.  I also have it on my shin, knees, elbows and in my nails.  I used to have it on my neck aswell which is a rather strange place to get it but it has cleared up, thankfully.

What treatments are you using for you scalp?  I've tried a few now but still no further forward.

I hope you find all the help and encouragement you need here.  And don't give up on your dreams, don't let your P hold you back, you're stronger than that.

Hi Katie! A wave from "across the pond" in Connecticut, USA! I know how it is not to be able to give yourself injections. When I lived on the farm, I could give the horses, dogs and cats their shots, but if I see a needle coming my way, I faint! I go to my dr's office to get my Humira injection for PA every 2 weeks.

Congratulations on your decision to become a nurse! My oldest niece is a nurse, and she is currently working on her PhD. I almost considered it myself, but I throw up if someone else does... ewwwwww! :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ Not animals, only people. Go figure. Let us know how things are going with classes. We will want to hear about your graduation! :D :D :D

Hi Katie and welcome along to the forum. It sounds like your skin reacts well to UV, in which case it may be worth asking your derm about a course of treatment. Good luck.
