Dont quite know how it come about but believe it was bought on by severe sore throat. only been to doctors once and he was usless told me you dont get p on your face so according to him i had p on m body and xcema on my eye lids , ears and nose. its not very noticable on my face but after years of elbows and knees its now spreading and its all over my hands which is really getting me down just be nice to speak to people who are going through the same thing.

Hi, Is it about a year since I first logged on and registered? Not far off! Well, progress has been amazing since then. Understanding the past thoroughly certainly helps get to grips far better with the present and future - believe it! Returned in triumph to the clinic which was once very oppressive (The Whittinghton, Archway) and all is transformed since 1996. Very friendly staff who seem to have time to listen! Started UVB treatment and ointment and moisturiser like to die for but better still stay alive for. Will try to make more time for this now. Speak to me, fellow sufferers.
Oh yeah - I found this by a search usin Metracrawler.co.uk Happy Times!

Cool that the site gave you the info to go back to the derms and get new treatment. Way to go, ralph  ;D

Hi Paul

We get many people here who have either been 'misdiagnosed' by their GPs or not taken very seriously. The forums give the sufferer the chance to read up on all the treatments available and get adice from experienced P sufferers too. And. as you say, it is great to be able to talk with people who know exactly what you are going through!

Welcome along and I hope you can get some good info here

:)

Found it by chance. My sister gave me a link about a miracle plant - on this forum - , I had a look and said that`s just another scam....than I said "waaaaaaait a minute" and got back starting to read topics on the forum -

...And then Adrian told me about this site, and that I should look for info. / discussions etc. about p on this forum in order to get clued up on my brother's p. I now log on nearly every day, even though I'm not a p sufferer... I have started to understand more about it now, even though I am still puzzled...  :) Sometimes I don't even log on, I just read the topics...
If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.

That's a really nice story :)

I found it because I actually looked for a forum on p.
I had had surgery on my knee before and by chance found an internet forum on the topic. I found that discussing these things seemed to help a lot and then thouught:
"Wait a minute: If this helps me for a reasonably short operation - what will it do if there was a forum for p?!"

One minute with google and ended up here... and stayed eversince ;D

Misdiagnosed !
I have had psoriasis since as far back as i can remember - about 3 or 4 and was told eventually at the age of 25 what is was. Found a brilliant doctor and never looked back.
