You need to see a Derm and quickly and don't be fobbed off with any suggestion of any "topical" treatment. You need UVB treatment at the least.

depending on what treatment you have had will possibly depend on what you will get next.
When my P first appeared i was started on the mildest creams working my way through the strengths until
i was admitted to hosp where i had coal tar then dithrocream with a bit of UV.
I was covered head to ankles.
You may get UV (at least) and i hope you do, but it will depend on you derm.
The fact you are seeing a derm and not just a gp is a good thing.
what ever you do dont accept dovobet it is evil and will prob make you better short term but worse in the long.
good luck
let us know how you get on

I agree with Mullinde and Frost, uvb and def be careful with using dovobet, it shouldnt be used all over either and the docs are very good at handing out prescriptions for that

Keep moisturising , not long til appointment now and i'm sure derm will be able to help you

Try and get an appointment early. 7th Sept seems far away for this kind of attack. Should be on UV and something oral like Cyclosporine ASAP. Take care :) :)

Thanks for replying

I have already used, coal tar, dovobet, dermavate, betnovate, and dovonex, i acctually blame them for the spreading on my legs! Im using a cracked feet cream on my feet atm a medicated one and it has done 100x better then all the above.
I lather myself with doublebase and hydromol and often have babyoil baths :)

I hope the derm really helps me my feet crack and i can barley walk its so sore and i know have it on the palms of my hands also so when im at work they crack and bleed which is unsightly for customers i have cut my hours down and its hard on my hands and feet.

what have yous all had? has it worked? have you cleared any?

Thanks

I cleared completely on ciclosporin and quite quickly, this was after uvb was found not to suit me as my skin is too fair to take it. After nearly 3 years i started to get bad headaches so was taken off it and after trying various other oral treatments i am now awaiting biologics.

Frost and Mullinde have both had good success with fumaderm but sometimes its not offered by derms as a treatment as it is not licensed in uk, mine looked at me as if to say whats that when i suggested it.

What work do you do? I work in retail and when my hands were bad i would plaster in thick moisturiser and then use my cotton pimple riding gloves as they are close fitting and i was able to work well in them. They are only a couple of quid or so a pair and ideal, especially if you have to use a till or keyboard

google will find you plenty online equestrian suppliers

The riding gloves need to be those particular ones as they are cotton and quite thin, quite possible the ones you have might be those anyway as they are a popular choice for riders.

Yes it came back quite quickly after the ciclo, have tried others since but all work differently for different people and weren't so good for me, but there are quite a few treatments so am keeping fingers crossed for the next to be successful
