Hi I'm a newbie on this forum.  I’ve just been having a read of the post and it’s wonderful to see such great advice and support from everyone.  I myself have had guttate psoriasis since I was 18.   About 2 weeks ago it started to flare up badly for only the second time since I have had it (I’m now 30).  Now I’m head to toe in small flaky red dots again.  I went to see my GP about it last week but my regular GP was on his holiday.  Instead I got to see a young lady GP who had to look up Psoriasis in her medical book – though she did have to ask me how to spell it because she couldn’t find it under S in the index! Honestly I kid you not!!  Well that really instilled confidence in me so I immediately asked to see a dermatologist who I have been to see today and has prescribed UVB treatment 3 times a week.  I hope it clears it up as I’ve stopped going to the gym and helping train people at my local pool because of the dreaded P.  Boo Hiss  >:(

LOL@your locum GP. You've got to laugh or you'll cry!

Great that you got a quick referral and even better that you're having UVB. Lots of people find it wonderful and I hope you do too  8)
