bless you, thanks. I'm getting much better, but I have an amazing boyfriend who's helping me through.

Dani

Have just read your history and please do not blame your D for your P.  It is unfortunate that because we have P that we might get D not the other way around.  I also had the same throat infection as you and after many years looking into this I do believe that the strep virus has an effect on P.  I actually had my tonsils removed as I was so fed up having P flare ups every time I had a throat infection.  I am not suggesting that anyone runs out to do this as each person is an individual and just cause it helped my case does not mean that it will help someone else.  I believe that someone who is prone to throat infections has some immune weakness and that it allows the P to trigger.  Due to my history I probably had the P already in my system but it took a combination of events to trigger one of which was my strep throat infection.

You sound like a very brave and good person so keep your chin up.  From my experience and having learnt to read my body I know that when I am feeling down my P gets worse and the worse my P gets the more depressed I feel and so on and so on.

Just keep smiling, we are not the ignorant ones it is everyone who has ever stared and stared at someone with P.

Dani, when I was 16 I had a c-section (yep, my oldest child is 17, im 34) and I didnt have any type of reaction to it then...(skin trauma via operation) But,..it did start to come out 3 years later. Also at age 26 I had a tatoo of mine touched up and revamped and it came out on the tatooed area. I thought back then that it was an infection...looked more like a bad gutate breakout now that I think about it. I had lazor surgery on my left knee because of a touch of Psoriac (sp?) arthritis...no effect there... I think that some skin traumas can definetly trigger it and some just dont register. I do know that the  trauma of giving birth (trauma to my body) for my last 3 children cause me to have gutate breakouts from hell.  I think we all have evaluated how we treat our skin a little better because of this P problem.  I only wished that P would have been a friendlier thing and not so vicious :-[
