At the age of 17 I began having scaley, red patches of dry skin on my scalp, then my chest and then my face. My parents took me to a skin specialist and he took samples of the scales. He told my mother I had Psoriasis and said sunlight and a special shampoo would help. The condition seemed to get better but not go away. It spread to all areas of my head including my ears, upper arms and my lower neck area. I would become so embarrassed from always having red patches on my face, scalp and body. I returned years later to another skin specialist and he gave me an ointment and shampoo which helped but didn't stop the condition. At times the condition would seem to almost disappear. Then it would come back with force. I continued to suffer with the condition for years. Then 3 months ago I went to another skin specialist. He tested me and I couldn't believe what he told me! He said "You don't have Psoriasis! You have a bacterial infection which just loves your chemistry (Oily, light colored skin) I told him he couldn't be correct. I'd been diagnosed many times in the past and have suffered with this condition most of my 65 years. He gave me a shampoo and a special liquid. I was to use one .. one day and the other the next day. They were to stay on no more than 1 minute. I swear to you...in 3 weeks my condition had cleared up! My wife was amazed! My skin was actually a healthy pink color for the first time in years! What a miracle! I used to hate seeing myself in the mirror. Now I proudly stare at my healthy, normal looking skin.
