Hello
will take you a while to read all on here tho!!!
Er....yeah, you could say that! I'm more confused than ever now.....

Anyway, I stumbled across this site on a general trawl of all things relating to psoriasis (am I allowed to spell out the full word? I notice people call it simply p......

)
I've had the condition for about 10 years, confined to isolated areas and have treated it solely by a combination of Betnovate and cleanliness. It came on suddenly, though at the time it was probably related to stress. Fortunately (for me) my p does not seem as chronic as for some on here. It's an annoyance rather than a life affecting condition for me - touch wood.....
Lately however, I feel as though the Betnovate doesn't make the same difference it once did, so thought I'd check out other treatment strategies - particularly those avoiding pharmaceuticals (though I suppose I shouldn't really say that, working as I do for the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency :-/ :-/ :-/!)
I did do a 3-month course of Chinese herbal teas (made from what looked like boiled tree bark and dried weeds) and ointments - never again. That "tea" (heaven knows how they have the gall to call it that!) is bloody disgusting. So I now want to examine the relative merits of Dead Sea Salts, Milk Thistle, non-dairy diets, etc etc. in an attempt to finally bin the Betnovate.
So, I won't say it's good to be here as I'm sure everyone would rather not have the condition in the first place, but I look forward to learning more from other people's experiences. A very worthwhile forum IMO.
