Memories of Skin Wards
Was in one New Year, in Sunderland, and everyone said no drinking, anyway we were Pi**ed, and as it was out in the Hospital grounds, the Night nurse shouted, 'Heres Night Sister', coming in her car. We all ran into our beds, Night Sister came in and said, 'Hoppy nu Yearsh everyboddings, got no booosh in here'.!!!!
Happy days, another time, we had a prisoner in from durham Jail, with something awful, but he was lovely, but had to have two Warders at all times. One of whom slipped out for Take Aways and booze and we did jigsaws 'till 3 am.
They were horrified when I said once, 'Am just going to start my car, and run it for 20 mins'. Could not believe I had gone to be addmitted in my car, I had P, not sick, if you know what I mean.
