Hi Scoot ;)

Luckily, this is a forum without webcams, so if anyone does frown, you won't see it anyway ;D ;D ;D
(Anyhoo, this forum is about P, and not about what people do or don't do in their own private life - not for us to judge ;) )

As a matter of fact, I think it's a very interesting question....

Anabolic steroids are steroids after all, so they must have some effect... for the better? For the worse? ??? To be honest, I haven't got a clue..... Steroids are never really healthy to be on - but what the effect on P may be? ???

Have you ever stopped taking them for a period of time? If so, did you notice any change in your P?

Anyone else here know anything about that?

I should be seeing my derm sometime soon (ish ::) ), I'll try to remember asking him about it.... *oupz*

;)

[ Hi   Scoot
                 YOU FOR REAL?????
Anabolic steroids have NO good points, only BAD,
SIDE EFFECTS,
Can include Liver tumers, and Cancer,Jaundice, Fluid retention, High blood preshure, Kidney tumors , Severe acne and Tremblings, increase in bad cholesterol  and damage to the good cholesterol,
In Men , Shrinking of the TESTICLES, ( That'll look good in the gym ;D ) , Reduced sperm count, Infertility, Baldness, Develoments of BREASTS,Cancer of the prostrate, This is just a few of the side effects you can get with Anabolics, So if you want to have more to worry about than Psoriasis  keep on taking them.>>>>>>>> CY< size=2]

I have no idea whether roids affect P or not. I cannot imagine they would be particularly helpful though...unfortunately, your GP/derm is not going to be of much help either. Apart from the fact they do all the stuff CY said, they are also an illegal - your doc is gonna frown bigtime and you are gonna get a lecture on how they will ultimately destroy your body rather than build it up (Arnie didn't need a triple heartbypass for nothing).

The only thing I know for sure about them and skin is that they floods the endocrine system (I think that's the right term) with too much testostorone which cause too much sebum and then acne (and, apparently violent mood swings in many people).

Sorry I can't be of anymore help than that.

:-* Hello cy and sj well you guys r obviously against steroid usage but that was my choice and wether to use or not should never be taken lightly, i spent hours upon hours researching the pro's and con's but cannot find anything on wether it affects p! CY the side effects you mention are so real but when on a steroid course mixing the steroids with the right amount of hormones can counteract some of the s/effects, as for testicles shrinking that is only temporary until your own testosterone levels kick back in once a course has finished.iI dont want to sound nasty but please try to read up a little bit on the subject .SJ arnie did need a triple heart by-pass but do u think steroids where the only contributing factor throw things like diet, smoking footlong cigars, drinking, his weight and the fact he probably spent most of his professional body building career doing little to no cardio-vascular .The amount of steroids he would need to take to stay at the top of his game would have been mountainous.Im not saying its ok to take them but its a personal choice and one that needs plenty of thought before you do it .

:-/ p.s. still havent got a definitive answer to my original thread and do welcome advice but i already have a mother so please no lectures about my lifestyle  :P :P

    HI  Scoot
I think it's you who should check your so called facts.  I've been there seen all the side effects happen and all the problems that comes with anabolics,
As for the Psoriasis , If the anabolics bring on severe acni then it's a sure thing they'll  help to bring on the Psoriasis,
Both Acni and Psoriasis are very close relations, They are both caused by food or fluid intolerance  >CY<
Ps   May be you should have a word with your MUM :)

Scoot,

Welcome to the forum.

Do you know the name of the steroid you are taking? If so a trawl on the internet may throw up some answers.

Regards

Roger

cy wats up i only wanted some info about how it would affect my p! and your on my case , as though im just some inept kid who uses steroids to look big , well i dont i use them to build strength for my chosen sport and believe me i know what i am doing .
hi rodger ive tried all of the searches i could but to no evail but thanx for the advice .
hi allison thanx for your advice also i understand about the mood swings as that was one of the first things i had to over come its just a case of chilling out and recognising when a rage is about to flare but its not easy . as for the weight loss that is mostly down to water retention , you do lose a lot when u stop but 3 stone your friends husband must have been huge where as i dont go for size i go for strength . but like i say thankyou for not being judgemental :-*
