COLOURLESS SUNBLOCKS???????
« on: May 19, 2004, 11:07:27 PM »
Does anyone know of any COLOURLESS sunblock creams, i've tried the white and the brown, both just sit on top and cause the p to flake and make it more pronounced than the usual pink!!
If anyone knows of any pls let me know, then i can walk round wearing a t.shirt, Thanks

On site we have some info on suncreams/blocks. Have you tried an alcohol based sunscreen? The alcohol evaporates, just leaving the active agents on the skin - no white marks. It can make it difficult to know where you've applied it though  ;D

Hey Niki ;)

Check out the P20 site:
You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

But it is alcohol-based, so I would at least do an allergy/reaction test on your P before using it widespread..... :-/ ..... maybe even have a word with your doc about it... ???

Hubby and I don't ever leave home without it - it's fantastic; and like Scruff says, once you've put it on, it seems to evaporate, and you'd never know you've put something on in the first place (I hate feeling greasy :P)

Good luck! :D

Halelujah!!!
I've finally found one, its by Roc, spf25 (which is better than nothing) and its avail on prescription.  If anyone else needs one make sure u specify "colourless"  Thanks to everyone who helped in my quest.  I now look forward to the summer!!!!

Any kind of suncream thats CLEAR will do as psoriatic skin does not absorb the white/coloured ones, it just sits on the top of the skin, turning it white and makes it flake.

My elation at finding Roc COLOURLESS was short lived as it is NOT colourless but white.  I've had the BNF book out and have mailed every pharmaceutical company who makes sunscreens in there to ask for their advice.  If i find one, i'll keep you posted
