Curataderm and Betacap??
« on: July 04, 2005, 05:46:09 PM »
Hi,

Just been to the Derm this afternoon, and she is trying something different on my scalp.  I just wanted to see if anyone else has tried what she has suggested and if it has helped.

She said to use Curataderm every night on my scalp.  Then in the morning use Betacap(not sure if that is spelt right sorry) And to use Cocois twice a week.

What do you think???  Any success stories?

Annie

Hi Annie,

I haven't used curatoderm or betacap before - but I used cocois about 13 years ago and it helped to get rid of the flakes/thickness.

Good luck!

Anniejay,
Your Derm is certainly bringing out the heavy guns. That's a Vitamin D treatment in the evening and a Steroid in the morning plus Cocois.  There ought to be some effect.
Best of luck.

Hi Annie

My very first post in this board. Coughs tentavively and pokes head around door.

I have had a few bad run ins with scalp P.  Dovonex scalp treatment was the most successful with long clear periods between treatments.   It is a liquid so easy to apply and drys quickly – no wrapping your head in silly things at bedtime.  Prescription only of course so your GP or Derm will have to sort it for you.

Some day white shirts only will be a thing of the past.

Good luck

Delster.

Hi Delster and welcome along!

Thanks for your advice, although I personally have not had much success with Dovonex, I found that after a few days it irritates my scalp.  That's the problem with p isn't it? what works for some doesn't necessarily work for another!

Oh to wear black tops again!!!
