hi guys

just been taken off fumaderm after only three weeks as the side effects where to severe for me ( like havin a bad case of food poisioning lol ) so my derm has now prescibed cyclosporin was wondering if any of you guys use this and what you think of it ? trouble is ive now been spoiled with my trial drug and dont want anything else  :'( but as my p hasnt returned apart from tiny bits im hoping this will keep it at bay now.

Hi Neil and welcome to PHO :)

You lasted a week longer than I did on Fumaderm ! Used more loo roll than I can bear to remember :(

Anyway, re: cyclosporin. To save repeating ourselves, there is masses of info on it if you use the 'search' facility above. Info like side effects, what happens when you stop using cyclo, how it makes you feel, what impact it had on dealing with p, etc etc.

What was your trial drug btw ?

Like all these powerful drugs they seem to work for some and not/not so well for others. My own experience has been all three! The first time was great, the second quite good and the most recent disapointing (skin not much better and high blood pressure). It all depends on your body, your age and maybe your life style (booze, diet etc). I would say worth a try - it does wonders for some. Good luck
