« on: December 08, 2011, 09:50:34 PM »
i started cyclo 2 days ago. Dunno if its just a coincedence but i've had a banging headache for the past day. Granted have been under a bit of stress due to family stuff but i dont suffer a lot from headaches and paracetamol isnt shifting it. Coincedence or possible side effect?

Definately could be a side effect  :(  it can affect blood pressure which may in turn be causing the headache, but it could be a coincidence
Maybe give your doc a call in the morning and just get it checked

hi, my headache eased by this morning. I'm going to monitor anymore headaches to see if they do happen more frequently then when i see the derm i'll mention it. I'm still feeling ok, just a bit more tired now but again, nothing as bad as mtx. Thanks! x

I got a lot of headaches with cyclosporin, but not for the 1st 6 months. They were the reason i came off it in the end. So do keep an eye on it: I saw it as an unfortunate trade off, until the headaches crippled me too much.
But  it may just be a settling in period/coincidence for you, everyone is differnet.
I try and take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once.

:-* I had the most awful headaches off CYC I was on 450mg, admitted to hospital twice, extremely high blood pressure resulting in "cluster headaches' the most painful thing ive ever experienced. Derm told me headaches had nothing to do with CYC however when i stopped CYC ive not had to visit A+E with a cluster headaches and vomitting.
