using dovobet for my moderate psoriasis, but very expensive. now using a combination of betaderm cream plus dovonex cream....cheaper but have to mix it or put one on and then put the other one on over the first one...kind of a pain. It does help a bit but you have to stop using it after so many weeks and then the flare-ups return. I have also been told that certain foods you eat affect the psoriasis. really at a lose as to what to do next. any info would be helpful.

I am a bit confused about whether you are now using Betaderm and / or Dovobet but I would have thought that it would NOT be a good idea to use them at the same time because, as I understand things, they have the same active ingredient (although a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing)

All I can advise is that you use any medication exactly as prescribed and DO NOT stop treatment of any steroid, such as Betaderm or Dovobet suddenly. You need to wean yourself off them very slowly.

I hope that you get a reply from Arizona because she is somewhat of an expert in this area.

Hi Daryl: Thanks for the info. Dovobet is a combination of Betaderm cream and dovonex cream which is covered under my soon to be extinct medical plan. however Dovobet isn't covered so my doctor suggested to mix the creams myself, being they are covered... so that is what I'm doing...but this way doesn't seem to be working as well as when I just use the Dovobet...Thanks again for your help
