« on: October 03, 2007, 09:36:00 PM »
I would like to know if anyone has tried this Epizone A . It is a cetomacrogol cream that my derm gave me. It seems to soothing and making my patches much lighter but my chemist put an extra 25ml cold tar liquid in it on a 500ml jar of cream. Does anyone know about this cream.
It is manufactured in south africa  by Van Dyk Pharmaceutical procucts.ltd

Epizone A
non-greasy lotion for all over protection and the healing of dry skin. It contains emulsifying waxes which feeds and repair the skin on the hands and other parts of the body. Epizone A is quickly absorbed by the skin leaving no oily residue, only a velvety smooth and soft feeling all over. Epizone A can be used as a barrier cream for people who are in contact with chemicals and water on a daily basis. Due to the non-ionic waxes used in Epizone A, it makes an excellent base for Dermatologists who use Epizone A to dilute steroids.

 Epizone E
This is an ointment ideal for the treatment of very dry skin conditions, Eczema and Contact Dermatitis. It contains no colour, perfumes. Epizone E can also be used in stead of soap, when lathered with a little water. This product can also be used as a barrier ointment, especially effective on chapped hands, elbows and cracked heels

Hi
I didn't know there was more than one tar liquid david, but all i know is that my chemist mixed it and it stinks...hahaha. The EpizoneA   cetomacrogol cream . has the following ingredients in:
Aqua (water\\\\\\\\\0, petrolotum,Cetearyl Alcohol, Paraffinum liquidum (mineral oil) imidazolidinyl urea.
It is a 500ml jar and the chemist put 25ml liquid tar into it ... It smells like hot tarmac... and my husband always says put it on when i go to sleep... ;D.
Well I'm on my second jar now and i do see a difference. The P I had on my left knee is completley gone and just above it too. My Hips are still being difficult but they are no longer crusted and my right elbow is 99% clear and about 50% clear on my left elbow. I really think it is helping, but under my chest it wasn't helping as that is the wet P and the only thing that helps that is \lenovate and luckily enough when i get it under my chest and under my arms it burns but it goes away as quick as it arrives. Now I'm jsut hoping to get rid of it from my hips and tummy, and back of my legs and I'll be on cloud 9. Miracles do happen.  ::)

Thank you for your feedback. And I will be giving you my progress as I use it . Month 2 in process..

I DON'T KNOW IF I AM AT THE RIGHT PLACE TO ASK A QUESTION.
MY QUESTION : I AM 50 YEARS OLD AND MY DOCTOR DIAGNOSE ECCEME.  IT STARTED AS I UNDERSTAND CORRECT WITH AN ALLERGY.  HE RECCOMEND THAT I MUST BATH WITH EPIZONE E, I DONE THIS BUT IT IS DIFFICULT IS IT ONLY IN THE STANDARD FORM OR IS THERE A LIQUIT/SOAP FORM.
AFTER I BATH WITH THIS I USED IT ALSO AS A CREAM.
IF YOU NEED ANY OTHER INFORMATION I'LL PLEASE TO GIVE IT TO YOU.  I ALSO WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT ECCEME, CAN YOU PROVIDE ME ANY OTHER INFO AS WEEL?

THANKS

Hi all

I'm from South Africa.  :)  Epizone has been on the market for a long time now. I have a very sensitive , dry skin. I'm allergic to collourants, flavourants and more. I tend to get dry red patches on my skin. The only thing that I canuse for that is the cream. For the past 21 years I've been using epiwash (the soap) As a teen I had no pimpels, thanx to epiwash. You also get the scrub. It's a good product, just choose the right one for your skin.
