Rino~hi

I am glad you have asked this as I have just started with it in my thumb nail and half my nail has just crumbled away~I havn't got a clue what to put on them and it looks just horrible!

I do sympathise with you and hope you find some solution to work for you~we cant go around wearing gloves all the time now can we?

Hi and Welcome Rino ((:c

I don't have much knowledge of P and nails but as a matter of course I put moisturiser on Alysia'a hands at night and cotton gloves. I don't know but it might help you.

Good luck. *frg)*

Hi all, re-fingernails, I have lost a few over the years, I know it is awful, but be assured they do grow in again, at the minute I have a horrible left pinky nail to contend with,,,,,,, still, time is, as they say, a great healer,  chin-up !

My nails are terrible just now, both finger and toe nails...they crumble badly and look disgusting. I've tried getting cream as far down as i can with a nail file...putting cream onto the nail file then using it under the nail as u would if u were cleaning them out....but it doesnt work, didnt think it would as it doesnt go down far enough.

Hi Rino
Welcome 2 the madhouse  ;D

this has been discussed before and really the only option seems to be to keep your nails short and 2 use a buffer on them .. some off the ladies have false nails on, not sure if this is a option 4 you, as it dosnt show your gender

sori cant be more help

Hi rino,

The damage to your nails has been done at the nail root.

As they grow the pits appear.

There is nothing you can do to get rid of the pits!

All you can do is keep them as short as possible.

Have a look at Ouch!! on P2 I have been on cyclosporin and it really helped but didn't touch my nails which look like rock hard quavers!! Sometimes they are really painful and I drop things, at other times just unsightly I mean toe and finger nails. My gp said to try dripping any lotion I use down the nail but nothing so far has helped. The worst is when because they lift way from the nail bed I catch then and then they rip off SOOOOOO painful and then such a mess for ages. Only 1 finger nail and no toe nails clear.
