Yeah I’m here – getting nervous about my appointment in an hour and a half.
Yes I have read the patient leaflet but with no alcohol (apart from a couple of Jack Daniels he he) - I'm not a huge drinker  ;)

Still trying to work out best place to inject – I’ve read it’s either top of leg(s) or in the stomach.  Wonder which one will hurt more.  Oh forgot to mention I have a fear of needles lolololol

Will let you know how I get on...........................

hi clare

how did it go?

i started injection in stomach (more skin to pinch  ::)) besides
my thighs were covered-so the injection site was chosen for me!
after legs cleared switched to injecting there and have done since.
try both sites alternately - then you'll know which is the lesser of two pains ::) ;D

as for fear of needles get your OH to do it for you?
he may find it theraputic ;D

Hi Pie

yes I am still alive, and clear.

I do have a sensitive question or two.  I was on Cyclo for 2 years and now Humira for eight months both of which are imuno suppresants, I kinda picked up on a TV program and a lady who was on Cyclo stated that she has to wee more often, which is something I seem to have to do, and the other one is a loss of sex drive, now that might be an age thing im 58 in a couple of weeks, but was wondering if this was also a possible side effect? Been thinking about seeing the Doc and seeing if it was drug related and in any way.

Anyway cant sit here chatting ......................need a pee.

Speak soon

regards John

Oh and the middle of my back is itchy, oh the joys.

wondered where you'd dissapeared john ol' boy ::)

still alive here too - with my own hair & teeth and 99.9% clear skin ;)

maybe worthwhile a trip to see your gp with a sample to check for potential
urinary infection john which may be possible side effect from the H - am sure
it is a listed low occurance side effect...but then again may be an oppurtunistic infection
because of lowered immunity...better fill a pot m8y ;D aim straight ^-^

i googled a bit and found some stats on loss of libido:

Sorry not been back on since my last post - been a bit manic....

The first lot of injections went better than expected (one in the right leg and one in the right stomach) - didn't hurt as much as I though it would.  However, the week following I was very nausious though :'(

The injection I did myself on Monday just gone bloomin hurt in my upper left leg so will see what happens in two weeks when I try the left stomach!

I am very impressed with the results so far though - I took a picture in December, just after they declined me using Humira and after that it got really really bad.  The second picture I took was the day after my two injections and the third picture day before yesterday.  Even today it's looking much better........ but I'm trying to do pictures on the same morning each week.

Pictures look like humira is working fast, hope it continues and you get complete remission  :), I was 100% now 95% missed one injection because of infection and late taking next injection because of snow,  now looking forward to missing another 2 injections because I need surgery on my spine but that's life I guess, :(

hi Clare :)

thanks for posting pics, hope that within the next few weeks
to see rapid improvement for you!
are you leaving the jabs out of the fridge at room temp for 30mins before injection?
i know it helps me to take the "edge" off the jab.

great that you are taking photos, and like me hopefully look back and see
the difference over time to the p :D i'm now 1 month off 2years of H  with
derm appt in march...best remission thus far from all treatments i've tried and
also the most non-intrusive in terms of allowing me to get on with life ;)

peter, ouch :-[! hope you get back on track soon and wish you well on the
upcoming surgery mon ami :)

30 mins??? I never got told that.  I will try that next time then :)

I just looked at those pictures again and am totally amazed at the differences since taking the one on Tuesday - you will have to wait a few more days to see the results though - :)
