Hi Pieman,
I hope it works as well for you as it has for me, the only problem I have with it is that it stings when I inject, but thats a very small price to pay, I have no side effects and my skin is clear. so good luck and lets us all know how it goes.

Hello Pie,

I've been on Humira for 5 weeks and had major clearance in three, no side effects (apart from some sqeemishness doing the injection!) Hope you have similar success.

Had to have the 2 flu jabs, TB screeing and pneumonia jab as well before starting which also means I'm a flu free zone! Also, so far I  don't seem to be any more suspectable to colds etc  (which seems to happen which immosuppressants).

I've been swimmin, running, not scratching etc...

For me it's a wonder drug. Really hope it goes well for you.

Hello hello! I haven't been on the forum in yonks but I'm back! And I'm in the same boat as you Pieman. Today is the day I start Humira. A little scared, mainly excited... Fingers crossed it's the answer. Nurse came last week to administer first dose but I had the nagging remnants of a cold so he said it wasn't advisable. Annoying! Anyway, I had the training without the injection with the aim of feeling prepared to go it alone with the first shot the moment the cold has passed. Since that visit I've been on a mega health kick....eating SO much fruit each day...which hasn't been without it's adverse effects! Ahem!  ;D Anyway, it's very slightly slightly slightly still there but hardly anything to speak of so this evening I begin. Humira old hands - you reckon that's okay? I'm not full on coldy. Really terribly slight. I'm desperate to get going and I think I've been pretty sensible in making sure my body's in a good place. Wish me luck!
