I've been using a PPP Card for about 4-5 years now and am very thankful for it given how much prescription charges are going up nowadays :-/  Mine's mainly for my P treatment but have used it in the past for acne and nail infection earlier this year.

Heh, <whisper> I used to do the pre-paid thing but it ran out ages ago and I didn't get a reminder.
So I have been just ticking the pre-paid box for nearly a year, no comeback(!)
I dont think anyone checks 'em, since it going free in the near future. ;)

Lord knows how I coped before I got the card, though I was lucky and could still get free meds while I was in full time education (uni counts!). Thank God I found out about it, as I don;t have to worry about asking for any creams I need, plus any other medication I may need.

There is no catch.

Buy it and never pay for prescriptions whilst it is valid. use it as often as you need.

The only thing is it takes forever for it to arrive, when you first sign up for it! It says that it can take 7 to 10 days after the frist payment, at this rate the next payment will be due and I won't have had the first payment card!

You can ask the chemist for a receipt, and if the card is valid, you can get the chemist to reimburse you ;)
